How It Calculates the Results
The calculation of compound interest is based on the formula:
A = P (1 + r/n)nt
Where:
- P = Principal Amount
- r = Annual Interest Rate (decimal)
- n = Number of times the interest is compounded per year (quarterly compounding means n=4)
- t = Number of years
The total interest earned is calculated as:
Interest = A - P
