How to Use the Interest Calculator

To calculate the compound interest and total amount you will earn based on your principal amount, interest rate, time period, and compounding frequency:

  • Enter the principal amount in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT).
  • Provide the annual interest rate in percentage (%).
  • Input the time period in years for which you want to calculate the interest.
  • Provide the number of times interest will be compounded per year.
  • Press the “Calculate” button to see the detailed results.

How the Calculator Works

This calculator uses the following compound interest formula:

A = P(1 + r/n)^(nt)

Where:

  • A is the amount of money accumulated after n years, including interest.
  • P is the principal amount (initial investment).
  • r is the annual interest rate (decimal).
  • n is the number of times interest is compounded per year.
  • t is the time the money is invested for in years.

The calculator displays the principal amount, interest earned, and the total amount after the specified time period including interest.

Limitations

This calculator assumes a fixed annual interest rate over the entire period of investment. It does not take into account any changes in interest rates or additional deposits/withdrawals that might occur during the investment period.
